I made this card for our neighbor's cute daughter,
Carina, who turns 1 year old today!
Carina is not only cute but she is the sweetest
and most happiest baby around!
Lots of steps went into making this card so let me describe a few of them.
I stamped the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose stamp set
on card stock vellum using Color Box cream white pigment ink,
and then used Stampin' UP! white embossing powder and heat set it.
I then used Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose dies to cut out
the stamped images using my Sizzix Bigkick.
I used Stampin' UP! Melon Mambo and Mossy Meadow
dye ink on the back of the flowers and leaves to give them some color.
Using my McGill Paper Blossoms Tool kit and a foam mat, I started
making a circular motion on the back of the velum with the 6mm ball
to give the larger flowers their shape and the 3mm ball on the front
of the smallest flowers to make the buds.
After shaping each one, I HOT glued (ouch...ouch...ouch)
the flowers together. And did I say Ouch!
For the flowered lattice background, I used my Cricut Explore Air
and cut out a Floral Invitation Sleeve by Michelle Edgemont
and cropped it to the size of the card. I added some clear glitter
using a Wink of Stella pen to some of the flowers and glued
small pearls to the center of them. For the pink card stock background, I
embossed it with a Stampin' UP! Textured Impressions folder.
I stamped the inside of my white card base with a few leaves, added
the Birthday wishes, and attached everything to the card!
Happy Birthday, Carina!
