Auburn University Desk Calendar

Well I did it . . . I made an Auburn Desk Calendar and it turned out pretty awesome!
For those of you who know me, I am a Die Hard Alabama Fan!
I was asked to make two Alabama and one Auburn desk calendars for gifts.
You can see in an earlier post my Alabama calendars.
I wasn't sure what I was going to do for this Auburn one but I
found some Blue Mirror card stock in my stash and decided that
Auburn was worthy enough for me to use this special paper.
I used my Cricut to write the War Eagle and cut the AU.
I used Taylor Expressions 2018 mini calendars and
also used textured orange card stock. I added
a white sticky notepad on the bottom.
These Desk Calendars do fold up and fit into an envelope,
which is nice. Of course, you could stick them into a small
gift bag and decorate your bag to go with the calendar.
Sorry Auburn fans, but I have to say it . . .
ROLL TIDE ROLL!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Everybody!

This card was a challenge to make . . . but I did it!
This card is called a Peek-A-Boo Card!
The top picture is the front of  the card and
below that is the inside of the card which changes as you open it!
For the card I used purple card stock, orange card stock,
black card stock and white printer paper.
I also used some Halloween printed paper that I had in my
paper stash. The writing was done with my Cricut.
I also used my Cricut to cut out my card base, witch, frame, cat and moon.
The witch and cat file came from Dreaming Tree.
The frame file came from Cricut Access.
I used black distress ink to swoosh my paper and
gray distress ink to highlight the witch flying by the moon
Assembling was the challenge but by the sixth one I had it figured out!

A Dentist Prayer

You never think about a dentist unless you need them to fix your
toothache, get a cleaning, or make your smile pretty.
These professionals are often subjected to a lot of abuse from their "patients."
Some people don't think about them as a person who has feelings and cares about
the service they are providing to their patients.
Just imagine how bad they must feel if they hurt you during a procedure, or it took a little longer than what they thought it would, or you had to wait longer than your appointment to be called back for them to start their work on you.
Well, I have an awesome Dentist that cares about her work, her patients and her staff.
She is always smiling and makes you feel at ease and explains everything to you.
Her staff is pretty awesome also!
I made this piece of wall art for her called
"A Dentists Prayer"
I printed a piece of paper with the wood background.
I used my Cricut to write the prayer on vanilla paper.
I attached it to black card stock and attached that to a piece of scripted paper that I tore and swished with ink around the edges. I made a few flowers from the Heartfelt Stamp and Die collections.
I finished it off by putting it into a shadow box frame.
Thank You So Much Dr. Daniel!!
We look forward to being with you for many years!

Congratulations Nicole & Ryan!

Our Niece, Nicole, got married to the love of her life Ryan.
They have been together off and on since high school
and something just kept drawing them back to each other.
Their wedding was so pretty and of course Nicole looked Fabulous!
I made this Shadow Box Frame Art and the card using an
SVG file I bought from Dreaming Tree.
Everything was cut and written using my Cricut machine.
I assembled the flowers and swooshed them with multiple Distress Ink colors.
I tried to use earth tone colors because that is what their
home decor colors are. I of course had to add a little bling to it
so I applied a few rhinestones here and there.
On the front of the card it reads:
two hearts,
two lives,
One
love
and on the back of the card I wrote:
Love is patient , Love is kind . . . 1 Corinthians 13 : 4-8

We wish Nicole & Ryan many years of Love and Happiness!

My Beautiful Flowers From a Beautiful Person!

It is so nice to get a "Surprise" every once in a while!
I made a gift for someone who is special in our lives, and a while
later I received this Beautiful Bouquet of flowers from her
thanking me for it! I really enjoy making my family and friends
things. I enjoy it more when I can give them something just because!
These flowers just absolutely made my day/week!
Thank You so much!

Happy Retirement Shanna!

A very special friend of ours just retired after serving
20 years in the
United States Coast Guard.
It is always hard trying to figure out what to say or do for someone
that is retiring so I decided to make her a display card!

I used similar techniques that I had used on my Rustic Card for this card.
The flowers were made using
Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose Stamp and Die Set.
Distress ink was used on the flowers and the edging on the paper.
Micro beads were used for the center of the flowers.
I wrote my sentiment on the back of the card and gave her a small
clear easel so she could display it!

We are so Proud of you Shanna and Thank You for your Service!

Happy Birthday Flip It Card

Happy Birthday!

This is a Birthday Card I made using the Framelits Flip-Its
from Sizzix by Stephanie Barnard.
Picking out the right paper helps to make this card
more elegant than simple. I wrote my sentiment on the inside of the flip part of the card.

Happy Birthday to my friends and Family
who received this card for their July Birthday!
